Make your own badge here. 02/24/2010 On My List I receive emails from J Crew on a daily basis it seems, but do my best to ignore them as I don't need to shop. I've managed to stay away for a while, but today's email grabbed my attention (20 % off knits and tees) and I've been on the website for what seems to be 2 hours! Here are a few of my favorites!!!! Old English Rose Bouquets, originally uploaded by candy_rose. Valentines day holds a very special meaning for me, four years ago I developed a cyst on my neck, and at first I was too afraid to do anything about it. When I finally shared with my mom what I had discovered, I had hoped she would say it was nothing, but much to my dismay, she told me I needed to have it checked out. The following day I was to see my esthetician for a facial when I showed her my neck. She made me promise her I was going to see the doctor, and was going to check on me to make sure I went. The next day was Valentines day, I remember freaking out in class, I didn't even want to be there. I just wanted to get it over with. I skipped my next class and went straight to the health center on campus. I for one have an immense phobia of doctors but I knew that I wasn't going to be able to rest until I had it checked out. I couldn't afford insurance at the time, but thankfully being a student I was able to see a doctor there for free. I just remember thinking I don't need another thing to worry about. Fortunately after thinking my heart was going to explode out of my chest (it was beating so fast), my doctor informed me that it was nothing to worry about and as long as it didn't grow any larger or become soft and grow a tail, I was in the clear. Thankfully it disappeared shortly thereafter on its own. People can complain all they want about being single or not having the perfect Valentine this Sunday, I for one am eternally grateful. Happy Valentines day, and I hope you have a Happy Chinese New Year as well! Words cannot describe what his loved ones are going through at the moment, but I know when times are tough, hearing that others are sharing in your burden, and offering hope is greatly appreciated. I was just emailed a link to his guest book at Legacy.com, and felt it necessary to post it here in case anyone is inclined to offer a message to the family. Rest in peace, Lee you will be sorely missed. Freddy's warm, toasty and comfy!, originally uploaded by candy_rose. I thought today would be a perfect day to feature Freddy on the blog since he's been behaving oh-so-well! Not only did he take off down the road (first time ever), he managed to steal every piece of boiled chicken for last nights dinner, a package of butter, and found my bra that's been missing for quite some time! I'm not sure if you can tell (in this photo) but Freddy loves his heating pad. It's his bff! He doesn't like having a cold bottom, so any chance he can get to sit on my Uggs, or on Lucy he's happy! If you're sitting in a comfy chair, your best bet is not to leave it....he'll snatch it up from beneath you, and fall asleep! Fireplaces are great too! A sleepy Freddy makes for a happy Candi. It's been a tough week, but things appear to be on the mend (fingers crossed). No matter where I go, no matter where I look, I am always left frustrated, uneasy and ready to look elsewhere. People may think the smaller you are, the easier it is, but that isn't the case. For many of us petite girls, bra shopping can be more of a headache than a fun experience. Finding the right bra for t-shirts is my least favorite. For the most part companies/designers think that small girls only desire large breasts, (most of the time I do) but when I'm looking to wear a light colored top and my only option is a heavily padded bra, I end up looking phony, unnatural, and ridiculous. I recently heard about Lula Lu Petites which specializes in you guessed it, bras for smaller busted ladies. Designer, Ellen Shing was growing tired of hopelessly searching for the perfect bra that actually fit her petite sized frame when she started doing research and found she was not the only one struggling to find a properly fitting bra. Shing stated "I could empathize with my friends who were small busted and knew there had to be something better. Women were tired of bras caving in, gapping and puckering. These are women who don't want augmentation and are happy with their size. They're just unhappy they can't find anything to fit them." Ellen has answered the prayers of many, by carrying bra sizes ranging from 30 AA to 38 A, and many fashionable and flattering styles of lingerie. "The collection is also the first in the United States to carry the AAA cup starting at sizes 32 AAA - 36 AAA.
