You finally purchased that first deck of Tarot cards... Now, all you have to do is get them to work.You took them home, opened them up and looked through the whole deck, you even read every word in the little booklet that came in the box. So you grab the first friend or relative that happens to be near by, you sit them down and you proceed to lay the cards out just like it says in the book. However, the cards don't read as you have expected, in fact, they are totally off and not at all even close to reality... So what happened?!?It can be difficult to get the cards to connect right out of the box, it may take some time to "energize" or "program" the cards to your particular energy. This is something that you may want to give about two weeks to doing. You can still do readings (not likely to be very accurate) and practice as often as you can.I would recommend that you take the cards everywhere with you, (as long as it is appropriate) and read for everybody that is willing - just let them know you are learning and that your reading is only for entertainment. I also highly recommend that you sleep with those new cards under your pillow for at least two weeks. I know that sounds weird, but it works. It is also a good idea to handle the cards, take them and study them one by one, meditate on at least one card and it's meaning (the one that the author of the cards has implicated), natural - right side up - and reversed - upside down. The intuitive part will come with time and practice and will happen on it's own so don't try to force it. You will notice after a short time, (about a month or so) that you will begin to have much more relevant readings and your accuracy will improve greatly. Don't expect to learn all the meanings of all the cards in this short time though, that will take much more time and a bit of effort on your part. Just remember, be consistent and don't give up.You must realize also, that your mood and attitude will make a big difference on the "colour" or atmosphere of the reading as will that of your querent, so try to keep a smile on your face, and your mood upbeat and positive. If you cannot, it may be a good idea to plan your reading for another day.
