I have to share another layout of Dillon…. I can’t help myself!   My husband and I bought this red fire truck for our son, Tyler when he was 2. He loved it! For about a month…. Then it just sat there in the corner…. sigh…. Should have just given him a box for Christmas! He loves boxes!!! Anyway, my son Chris took this picture of Dillon on the fire truck.   He was actually holding on! Virus kills all chance of a fun school vacation! Author: JenHanson // Category: Digital Scrapbooking, Family Life & More Ahhhh school vacation week. Going to go to Maine, stay for free at my FIL’s, go for walks on the beach, clam digging, cook lobsters…. NOT! Kimmee’s had a temp of 102-104.8 since last Thursday, along with a cold. No pneumonia, no ear infection, no sinus infection, no strep throat. Just your regular, run of the mill, let it run its’ course, virus… GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I thought she was getting better but then the fever spiked up to 104.8 again last night. Before Tyler went to bed he casually mentioned that he felt hot…. Yup, 102.2 degrees. . . Hard as I tried, I couldn’t come up with a name for it. Then my daughters, Kimmee and Kaylee came over and said “It’s like a Rainbow! You should call it Magic Rainbow!” So that is the name of my newest kit, which will be available in my Deco-pages store shortly. There’s lots of beautiful elements to decorate your pages, from butterflies, to crochet flowers, real flowers, layered flowers, ribbons, buttons, beaded strings, leaves, swirls, tags, bows and lots more! There are 12 lightly textured papers;  6 are lightly grunged solids and 6 are either polka dot or flowered. Author: JenHanson // Category: Digital Scrapbooking, Freebies  My husband and I took the kids for a walk today. The dingy, dirty snowbanks we’ve all gotten used to were gone.  The soggy grass was beginning to dry out and perk up again. The sun was shining, birds chirping….  Thoughts of spring danced in my head like butterflies flitting about in the wind… Could it be? Could Spring be almost here? WRONG! Nor’Easter expected to hit New England tomorrow afternoon and snow through till mid day Monday…. sigh..  Well, in hopes that Spring really is coming soon, I’ve created a quickpage for you that reminds me of my two beautiful daughters, skipping down the road, hand in hand, laughing and giggling at the wonders of Springtime.. Gosh, I can’t wait to see that again! Author: JenHanson // Category: Digital Scrapbooking Nothing in the world can compare to the day you hold your child in your arms for the first time. I can still remember the day that the nurse placed my son Christopher in my arms shortly after his birth, just as I can distinctly remember the day that each of my 3 little ones who we adopted from Korea, were placed in my arms. Kimmee was just 4 mos old and was escorted here by a lovely Korean woman. My oldest son, Christopher and I flew to Korea to bring home Kaylee, who was a sweet and silly little 2 yr old. And then there was Tyler, who arrived when he was 16 mos old, and was your typical wild and rambunctious toddler, who laughed hysterically at the balloons we brought to the airport. Though each of my children came to me in different ways and different ages, that first moment with them was one that took my breath away. And now, the arrival of my first Grandchild Dillon, has taken my breath away, yet again. The joy in my heart the moment I first held him was intense. I felt as though my heart would burst! Not only becaue of the love I had for him, but  also because of the immense feelings of pride that my first son had now become a Dad.  I’ve never seen my son look so happy, so proud, so full of life. I think I’ve taken at least 564 pictures of Dillon already. Thank God for digital cameras!!!   Here’s a layout I did of the moment I first held Dillon.
