				Lupus With Grace



                                     March 13th, 2009	

                     
When Lupus happened to me almost eight years ago, my life was forever changed.
It was just one morning when I woke up with an overwhelming pain in my whole body and I can’t barely move. I freaked out, I thought I was being paralyzed. I remembered screaming, calling for my mom because I can’t feel my legs. That was the start of an endless battle with an unknown sickness. I spent almost a whole month in the hospital, not knowing what was really happening and the doctors still unable to diagnose my condition. I spent the next six months in a wheel chair, the hospital is the only place I go to, I underwent a series of laboratory tests, medical exams, operations, medications, etc etc…
Actually I don’t wanna look back but its difficult not to especially when the illness is still very much with me. I don’t know how I survived going through all that, I can’t remember where I got the strength to go on and I don’t know how I managed to get by each day, knowing that everything in my life is changing and my life is temporarily on hold.
I cannot say that I’m much better now, in fact I’m having the longest Lupus flare I ever had and I have been sick for awhile now but somehow I already got used with the fact that Lupus is a part of me and they say that I’m gonna have it for the rest of my life  well, I’m not really expecting a miracle just enough grace to help me live with lupus with grace.

				Stay Away, Burglars



                                     March 13th, 2009	

                     In these rough times, we really need to be careful and stay alert because there are a lof of bad elements in our midst and sometimes we can be caught off guard and we end up losing our most beloved belongings and treasures. This is why it is important to have some security for our home especially when there’s no one around, a burglar alarm can set those burglars away and secure your home.

				Our New Pet



                                     March 13th, 2009	

                     Two weeks ago, my brother and I decided to have rabbits for a pet. I honestly, don’t like it and I’m not really very fond of pets but my brother’s enthusiast made it difficult for me to resist his request. I have no idea how to have a rabbit for a pet so I immediately researched on it in the internet and it’s interesting to know that rabbits love to eat grass and I’m suddenly worried that my mother’s ornamental grasses in our garden will be our rabbits’ favorite and that will definitely upset her.

				Summer is Here



                                     March 13th, 2009	

                     I missed a lot of blog assignment deadlines. I’ve been so busy the past few days that I don’t have the time to blog anymore and quite honestly I’m just not in the mood. I guess, there are a lot of emotions that I’m just not quite ready to face and I’ve been trying to somehow ignore these feelings.

Summer is finally here, the heat is worsening everyday and I know it’s bad for my lupus but I love summer and I intend to enjoy every minute of it. I still don’t have any vacation plans but hitting the beach one of these days is definitely on my list. I’m looking forward to travel again and maybe even have extended stay hotels if I really have a good time. Have a TGIF everyone!

				Take Me Here

                     The heat is so terrible. I guess, summer is really here and how I wish I could be here right now..

I was here with my college friends last year and although there’s no plan to come back here this year, I still wish I could feel the fine white sand of Boracay and gaze at the wonderful sunset along the beach once again.

				Treasure Every Moment

It is often difficult to smile or be happy when things are not the way you want them to be. Being sick with lupus made me realize that my illness should not defeat me and I never lose hope that no matter how much pain I’m in right now God is doing something for my situation and it is always for the best. Life is too short and and we should always embrace every moment we can have to be happy because everything that happens in our lives is a lesson we must learn and treasure.

My life used to be perfect, at least that's what I thought.. until I was struck by an invisible disease called Lupus & everything in my life changed. I gotta adjust with a lot of stuff. I used to be depressed about it but I'm learning to trust God more & hold on to my faith. I'm not really sure yet of what life has to offer but I plan to live my life as meaningful as possible.
