What is the Definition of Zodiac signs?
Many people believe the definition of Zodiac signs, is the same thing as Astrology. Astrology and the Zodiac are related but they are not the same.
Where do the words, Zodiac signs come from? The word Zodiac comes from the Greek word Zodiakos, It means circle of animals. The literal meaning of Zodiac signs is: a small band that is divided into 12 zodiac signs. These 12 signs of the Zodiac matches up to the 12 Constellations.==sidebar== The zodiac and Constellations aren't the same, other than in name. The Constellations tend to be of different sizes. The Zodiac form a perfect circle with each Zodiac sign taking 30 degrees in size within that circle. Back to this circle and what it has to do with the Zodiac signs. You now know that the size of the zodiac circle is 360 degrees. Through that circle runs a line called the "Ecliptic". This line marks the path the Sun takes. Along with the Sun, all the other Planets take this path except for Pluto.
