Eating Out Is Making The Whole World Fat | Main 01/06/2012 The Blame Game by healthy_blogging If you don't lose weight, blame the advertising industry. If your relationship is going through a rough patch, blame your spouse. If you're not earning a lot of money, blame the system. The blame game. So easy to play, no wonder it's one of the most popular games in town. The only problem with the blame game is that you will never win. Is there an alternative which gives you a chance at winning? Sure there is, it's called responsibility. Responsibility means that you'll do whatever is necessary to improve the situation. For instance, if you're having trouble losing weight, instead of blaming the advertising industry consider ways to improve your diet and get more exercise. When you and your spouse have a disagreement, think about what is at the root of the problem. Most likely you're looking at the same thing from two different perspectives, there's a way to bring them together you just have to find it. You're a team so you will find a way. If you're not earning money, look at ways you can cut expenses and increase your savings. It might take a while to get into the black but it's doable. Taking responsibility isn't the same as taking the blame. You should only take the blame when you've actually done something wrong. Responsibility is different. Responsibility is about control. Taking charge of your life in order to improve your situation. We're much happier, and lead more fulfilling lives when we take responsibility for our actions. Responsibility. Own it.
