I am sorry, I was not aware that creating shell folder makes explorer into an endless crash-and-restart loop on Vista 64bit untill I found out what happened to you.
Hopefully the computer problem can be sloved and you would continue with your work on BYOND. For the computer to load, all you have to do is remove the folder that was created via safe mode with command prompt or a live CD which allows you to mount and edit a NTFS partition.
