Last night was Arwen's second ballet recital. This was her first time performing with the Level 1 class, and this was also the first time Arwen performed without her teacher on stage to guide the way. How exciting!
The class danced to a song from Giselle, a ballet with which I am not familiar, but after watching 15 five to six year old girls in adorable pink and green tutus prance about to the sweet number, I'm interested in checking the actual ballet out.
Arwen and her classmates did beautifully, and we were so excited to have so many friends and family turn out to watch the performance. We felt the love!
After the performance, Arwen admitted that she was a little nervous and got a bit confused because they had only practiced in the studio and not on the actual stage, but Arwen did say that she enjoyed herself. When asked what was her favorite part? She answered, "Watching Miss Page dance. I want to dance like that when I'm big."
Thanks to Rob's friend Ethan, I was able to borrow a lens that helped me capture a better batch of pictures than last year. Though I still have a lot to learn about action shots in this kind of lighting. Time for me to get enrolled in some classes. We also picked up a new video camera, which Rob used to record last night's performance. He did a good job considering it was his first time operating the new camera.
