Some of my previous posts are about my desire to move to a house---a real house. Not a condo or multi-famly unit, but a single family house with a deck, basement and a garage. Now, everyone knows it's been a dream for me to just get out of this place and buy a new one. With this desire, there's this thing that I'm very fond of doing---going to open houses. I love going to open houses though I am not ready to purchase one yet. One of the open houses I went to was in a community where custom-built houses are constructed in such a way that they almost look similar yet each one is unique. There's a new developed townhouse community about 15 miles from our place. It's a very gorgeous place located on a hillside. The houses are relatively large and adorable. They have similar facades but each one is distinctly customized. But one thing strikes me the most at first impression. At the front yard there is the uniform address plaques and numbers on the side of the porch post. Then another set of home address plaques are beautifully engraved and attached to each mailbox. I've never seen any community or neighborhood displaying address signs that look so proud and regal.
The units are all new, sleek and contemporary in design. But the greatest thing about this community development is that you can choose your paint color, tile, countertop materials, floor, appliances, and cabinets. As I take a tour around each model unit, I just drool and sigh. But I immensely enjoyed the experience. I drove home and I said a prayer that one day soon .I will have that home ---just like the ones I just saw.
