A week ago in a recent post about my blog title and attackers, I made a poll to help me decide what to do with my blog. After such a heavy baggage of exhaustion and anxiety about my blog and its "life," I poured out the "cruelest comments I've received" for all the world to see so my readers would understand why I keep letting off steam about my attackers. At first, I was quite hesitant to write their comments but I felt I had to before making up my mind over an important decision---to continue blogging or not. And unexpectedly, a heavy burden was lifted off my shoulders. I felt a sense of relief exposing the rudest remarks this blog gets since it started on July 2008.
My domain name expires on March 10 and GoDaddy keeps sending me reminder alerts on my inbox to renew it. A month ago, I was bent not to renew it and therefore close down my blog. I thought I could find a fulltime job sooner so I could get off my mind from blogging. However, I haven't found any yet and all I've got is a part-time one. So, I shelved my career search and prayed to God for direction. Now, my plans are changed. However, I can't reveal the details yet. But it absolutely requires me to hold on to some endeavor that would make me a little money while doing that "certain thing which I cannot tell yet."
Of course, this blog only earns a few extra bucks. Google has not paid me yet but I hope I get it by the end of March. But anyhow, I like to maintain this blog for as long as I need it to help me augment that "change in my life." As I contemplated on that decision, I was thinking of changing the blog title. Though I don't like to change it because it might hurt this blog's SEO, I created that poll to give me an insight on whether or not I need to alter it.
Only 75 voted (I made sure only one vote for each ISP) and a mere 22% wanted me to change it, while 78% like my title the way it is. Therefore, I won't do anything to the title. Because I closed the post for comments, a lot of my readers and friends sent in their messages, ( through Facebook, Entrecard, Friendster, Multiply, email, Twitter) all of them giving support to retain the blog title as it is.
Here is the result of the poll. The Yellow part is NO, I LIKE IT THE WAY IT IS, and the Blue part is YES, IT'S SO NEGATIVE.
I'm also introducing a new blog. This is my husband's new blog---entirely his own blog. The blogging bug had caught up with him when I asked him to guest write on Rocker's Wife. Eventually, he was lured to the highs of writing for all the world to read. After I praised his writing abilities, he was encouraged. He sought my assistance to start a new blog and now he's blogging independently. He even asked me to guest-post. His blog chronicles his band Freerider's struggles to " new music stardom."
