Being new to vegetable gardening has made us see food in a different way.

Just imagine how much food must be wasted every day by households, restaurants, supermarkets...astonishing when you actually stop and think.

Next week there's a campaign going on about food waste - Feeding the 5000 - where they'll be making soup for passers by out of 'unwanted' food.
