You and I have both seen them all over the place: those sometimes hilarious and oh-so ubiquitous ads for dating services or websites. There are some fairly tame ones, but then there are ones that have me saying: Really? Seriously? These ones, after I stopped being irritated, really made me laugh.Ah yes. Chronically single. At this site, I can find a cure for my singlehood.Like it's an itch or a virus or something. Hmm.The implications of this are, well ... where do I begin? Behold my future! This is me if I don't find a cure to my singleness. I'll be a toothless old lady and then what man will want me??So what about you, friends? Have you seen any over-the-top dating ads or sites? If so, do share!!P.S. I think most of you already know, but if I'm not too present here, it's because I've been in the process of home hunting and starting to move to a new city, which I am sure will promise all sorts of exciting new adventures in singleness. I'm still very committed to this space and hope that my new environs will inspire even more thoughtful discussion around this topic. To get the wheels turning for you, here are some things I'm thinking about for future posts ...Defining masculine/feminine as a single personDealing with feelings of androgynyThe gift nobody wants (1 Cor. 7)Feelings of redundancy... and so many more.
