Although I have a baby blog, I do want to share with my N.I.B. readers some of my baby stuff once in a while. My husband took this snapshot of my belly Friday night. I love the slimming power of these Old Navy maternity jeans I own. They make me look pregnant not just chubby. I am gaining weight faster now and my belly is growing fast too. I've gained... hm... gotta do the math... about 12 pounds since week 1! Baby isn't even 1 lb yet but you gain all this fluid weight to take care of baby and you. I am 5'1" and have sciatic nerve pain so I feel every pound and it gets harder to do new things each week! This is my first baby. We are both almost 25 years old, and we've been together almost 11 years! Married only 2 years. We were neighbors and high school sweethearts and college sweethearts and then immediately married upon his leaving college. We have our baby names chosen but they are secret. Just because it's nice to have something to announce and keep secret until the birth. Also we aren't interested in any comments or suggestions based off of the names we've chosen and ALSO because I don't want them "stolen" by pregnant friends. I trust no one! Just kidding. I do trust people but once a name is special to me, I feel like it's all mine & don't want to share. It's like a good candy I found in a secret pocket of my purse. LOL! The names we've chosen start with the letter N and the letter S. Does that help? Can't tell you which one is boy or girl though. *snicker* One more hint would be that 1 is Biblical, the other one I thought I made up until I found people by that name. So let the guessing commence! We will find out soon if baby is boy or girl. I just haven't been up to date with getting things done and lalala basically soon we'll get a new ultrasound and we'll know for sure! Hopefully... of course. & When we find out my nesting will get really intense for sure. I am already going nuts trying to find my style, find new things for baby, plan out the baby's room, but... I never know if I should get this or that... I try sticking with browns, yellows, light greens and light aquas so that if it's a girl I can throw purple and pink in or if it's a boy I'm good to go!I've been hoping for a girl for a long time but just last week I really decided that I want both a boy or a girl so bad. I would have a blast with a boy and I'd have such a good time being a Mommy to a girl. I have been thinking and hoping that if baby IS a boy, that he might look like his Daddy. Please, God! I mean my husband, Caelen, was the cutest kid ever. Of course I'm biased but... it's my truth! Either way I would love baby to have my blue eyes, Caelen's beautiful jaw line, my hands and feet, Caelen's metabolism, both of our artistic & creative talents/abilities....I am having a natural birth at my local Birth Center. I am doing it with a technique called Hypnobirthing. This is all assuming everything is fine and baby won't be breech and I won't need a C-section. *fingers crossed* I have done a lot of research about what is best for baby and for Momma, and being with trained certified midwives at my local, comfortable, home-like birth center (with water birth facilities!) is best for me.I am due on my birthday! June 24th actually. My birthday is June 26th. The midwives say that since this is my first baby that I will "cook late" so maybe even give birth in July! I plan to allow baby to decide. Baby will come out when he/she is good and ready.& to end this post, Here are a few things I am just drooling over for this baby:or & or
