You don’t need to pick the same topic as I do.
My lease was up on my car so I got another car. It’s always exciting to be driving something new and I was very happy with my choice.
I was on my way home last Friday, exactly a week to the day I bought the car, when I noticed a car that was driving extremely erratic. Apparently, the car in front of him wasn’t going fast enough so he blew the stop sign and drove into the next lane, (oncoming traffic) in order to pass ahead. He miscalculated and narrowly missed the car in front of me, swerved, lost control and slammed into my car.
I felt a large bang, swore a couple of times and got out to stare at the culprit. Except…… He sped off.
HIT AND RUN
It will take approximately 2 weeks to repair my car and the estimation is $9000, thank goodness for car insurance.
Hubby reminded me of the baptisms that my new cars go through.
First car: A mustang cuts 3 lanes to exit the highway and slams into my car, within 3 weeks of owning the car.
Last car: Within two weeks of owning my car, a drunk man decides to have his version of fun and takes a baseball bat to a few cars parked on the street, including mine.
This car: Exactly one week to the day.
On a very positive note, a few days later, the cops came by my house to inform me that they are 99.9% sure they caught the guy. He was under the influence. He was stopped by the cops for his driving and they saw that he was in an accident. The witnesses I had were able to describe the car that hit me, which matched his car exactly.
