Hello there and welcome to a long delayed edition of MMO Watch on the XanderGC Blog! Let’s be honest here, I am really only interested in one upcoming MMO so there is no point in discussing the other ones I was talking about before, sadly I lost interest in them as their has been little to no updates in a long time. I’m looking right in your direction The Agency. Champions Online has been dubbed the spiritual successor to City of Heroes and it is being developed by the same studio that brought us that little gem, which has just happily celebrated it’s 5th birthday! My relationship with City of Heroes has been a love/hate relationship over the years, with me going back and leaving it over and over again. Champions Online looks to fix that little problem with the mass amounts of customization and overall personality that is infused in the game. Do you ever wish that you could fight your arch nemesis, or that you even had one? Champions Online will allow that and you can even craft their likeness to the way you want. Have you ever dreamt of being an average looking person who had the strength of the hulk, telepathic powers of Jean Grey and could teleport around the city? Well, if superhero MMO’s are your thing, you really should look into Champions Online, as near-total customization is one of the main selling points to the game. It’s no secret that I want into the Closed Beta. I have applied directly on the site, I have participated in every single contest and I even make forum posts every now and then. Yet somehow I am not invited into the beta as of yet. I want. I want, please let me in Cryptic, throw me a virtual bone! Anyways… the floodgates are truly open now and lots of information regarding the game is available at the following sources.
