Though I've been painting consistantly for the past 22 years, I have sooooo much to learn.I've recently, in the past week in fact, learned that in the past few years, I've stretched and moved into things that are influenced by other artists whom I admire so much, but let's face it....I'm not them.I'm me,and that, my friends, is just fine.("Home is where you build your nest" handpainted by Tina Lawver)Putting it to prayer and asking God to help me remember who I am, the artistic voice that He gives me, and return to what I love to do which is putting paint to surface.......has produced some interesting results this past week.("Beginnings" by Tina Lawver )Coming up, in February, I and my friend Missy Hererra (otherwise known as Junkbabe), my friend and fellow blogger with Amish Country Living, will be setting up a booth at the Ashland (OH) Home and Garden Show. We'll be demo-ing and sharing our love of what we do. I wanted to go to this show with the work that represents me as authentically as possible.("Home is where you build your nest" by Tina Lawver)I'm getting there.Bless you today, my friends. Thanks for reading and giving me grace as I grow.Sharing with you at the risk of looking sappy or too introspective is one I'm willing to take knowing I can't be the only one on a journey here.Artists and Friends, Where are you in your journey?
